What I do!
"One of the DJs took a rather interesting approach, opting for two Nintendo DS games systems instead of turntables and computer software. The DS systems run a piece of software released by Korg, called Korg DS-10+, which emulates the Korg MS range of analogue synthesizers and adds in a few extras, like effects and sequencing functionality. The DJ, Harley (who’s website can be found at harleylikesmusic.com) has sequenced lots of material on the DS, making everything from scratch using synthesis. The sequenced material is saved as loops, which Harley can pick from and play back in any order. On top of this, he is able to alter the synth parameters live and play live sequences with an on-screen keyboard to add variety and make the performance more of a live display. Harley hooks up two of these systems to a mixer via the 3.5mm stereo sockets on the DS consoles. This allows him to fade from one song to the next using the mixer"
